“We chose black bridesmaid dresses and tuxedos for their simplicity and pure elegance. Our color palette was very soft and full of cream, and medium to light pinks. The overall look that we wanted to capture on our wedding day can be described as ’shabby chic,’ soft and pretty. Our hope was that our sense of style would create a very inviting and comfortable atmosphere for our family and friends.”

“As a couple, our favorite memory from the day was when Roger took my hand during dinner and said, ‘How can we make this moment last forever?’ On our wedding day you could truly feel the Lord’s presence and the abundance of love, compassion and energy from all of our family and friends.”

“The best thing about getting married in Indiana is the true beauty of the state, especially the area we chose to be married. We found that nothing compared to the shear beauty of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church combined with a reception at French Lick Resort. We feel they may be among the state’s best kept secrets due to the distance from major cities, airports and interstates.” Too true!

Amanda’s advice for all you ladies planning out there: “Where do I start? The two most important pieces of advice that we give all of our family and friends planning a wedding are: One, once you make a decision stick with it. Go with your gut feeling and don’t look back. Two, be sure to take time on your wedding day to slow down, breathe and take it all in. It is overwhelming to see how many people are there just for the two of you, but it is absolutely the best feeling in the entire world.”

Oh, that last piece of advice is so sweet, just priceless, love it! Really, what greater joy is there than being surrounded by everyone you love? Congrats, Amanda & Roger!
